9-30-10

Back to work today.  Darin woke up really early and so did Alexa.  I had forgotten to put her SAY shirt in the dryer so I got up and did that.  A was already at the table eating breakfast and it was only about 6:20.  Her shirt wasn't quite dry before they were ready to go. 

Jake woke up a little before they were ready to leave and he sat down to eat b-fast.  It was early and he said he wanted to ride his bike.  He was already dressed but just needed to get his shoes on.  He got his shoes on and ended up doing something else.  We were ready to leave a little early and when he saw his bike in the garage he wanted to ride it.  I let Dad know that he was riding his bike and he came out and took a pic of him which turned out real cute.



He was good at putting his bike away when I said it was time to go.  On the drive to Ms. Teresa's house I was telling him how I loved the sky - dark sky with some pink, some blue skies and some really white, bright light.  It was beautiful.  I was saying, "Thank you God for the beautiful sky!"  Jake repeated me - so cute!

Jake didn't want to stay at Ms. Teresa's today but she changed his mind when she asked if he and Lily wanted to go on a walk.  He said, "Yes, that would be nice." :)  As they walked out the door he told Lily that he liked her.  He is so sweet.

Tuesday and today I took the back way into work without having to get on the freeway.  It ends up being faster - only about 15 min and I don't have to worry about bad traffic getting off 163.  On the drive into work I saw lightening!  At work I heard thunder most of the day.  Once it was super loud and made me jump a little!  I like thunder too.

Christina was sick so she went home at noon.  She sounded really bad so I told her to take her germs with her!  She mentioned that she would have gone home earlier except that she is by herself at her home and over the weekend she had seen someone who ended up breaking into her neighbor's home and beating her. 

I had a meeting from 12-1pm and I was so tired - it was difficult to stay awake but I did.  I came back and had lunch so I got back at 1:30.  The phones were busy!  As soon as I was about to finish up with one call another one came in... one after another after another after another...  I was able to take care of them all though.  I can't believe that Dr. Lesser got a complaint from a Mom who never wants him to see her son again - he is so nice!  Oh well, everybody has their right to their opinion.  I had the powers that be fix it so that nobody will ever be able to book that pt w/DL again.

For being by myself the afternoon went really well!  I was able to get off at a decent time - 4:38pm and went to get Jake.  He was still sleeping and it was almost 5pm!  Ms. Teresa told me that he and his little friend didn't want to take a nap earlier so they were both sleeping.  I woke him up and he was tired!  Right when we got home D said he had just picke up A and said he would drop her off at Moonbeams.  We basically told GP hi and bye and were off!

Peanut and Laurie were there at Moonbeams.  They say their pledge and then do crafts. D dropped A off when they were almost done with their 1st of 3 activities (2 drawings and a craft).  Tonights craft was making a "person" out of a small empty water bottle.  We had baked potatoes with chili, cheese, sour cream, garlic bread, fruit and a cupcake.  After dinner we stayed for learning 1 song and part of another.  I think they are planning for a Christmas choir as the songs are Christmas or "Chrsistmasy" songs.

Laurie said Peanut would be at Awana's on Sunday.  I brought A&J home and they both played with their puzzles.  They brushed their teeth and I read 2 books and put them to bed ~ 8pm.  D was already asleep in our room! J got up at 9 stating he didn't want to sleep.  I put him in a bath and he was ready for bed about 10 min later.

It is 9:17 now and I should try to do some Bible study as I didn't get to it last night.

Ahhhhh... Wednesday and I have the day off.  However, the kids decided to wake up early still. :(  Alexa had a nightmare around 12:30 or 1 am, and mentioned something about a kid who got hit by a car in the street. She stayed with us in our room.  Jake woke up around 4:30 or so and I took him to the restroom and went back to sleep in A's bed.  When they woke up the both came out to the living room and started screaming, crying, yelling oh my.... 

They both got a spanking and got sent to their rooms.  A was Ms. Grumpy all morning after that.  Jake was a little grumpy but fine for the most part.  I took both kids to Dr. Gandhi's @ 8:15 this am.  A got a TB test and we need to remember to take her back to the office by 9am Sat. 

Jake got a prick on the finger for a blood test which showed lead level of 13 when normal is 10 or below.  I was given a Rx for more lab work to be done.  We dropped A off in Ms. Archuleta's class (she was being a pill...)  I let J go to the playground but he didn't want to be there very long - maybe 15 min.  

When we got home I looked through the pprwk A was given to bring home yesterday for selling gift wrap and other items.  There are some things that I would like. :)   I called HELP desk a couple times but was finaly able to log onto CITRIX!  It also has Meditech, Chartmaxx, etc...!!! :) 

Jake played on the computer for quite a while again today.  I believe this was only his 2nd time playing on it but he was hooked - he didn't want to get off.  He got off when it was time for lunch though - even though he didn't want to eat.  At about 1:30 I took him to LabCorp for his blood test (D&L went to the newly revised Target).  J wasn't thrilled about getting poked again but he did good. 

We picked A up... (still a pill), played on the playground for about 20 min and then went to swim. We were there early so they played on the playground for another ~20 min and then they swam and they both did well.  J didn't want to go swimming but A did - but they both did good. :)

Got home and the house smelled so good!  Linda had started pork ribs in the crock pot this am.  I put the kids table outside and worked w/Alexa about 30-45 min on homework.  She did very good!  Darin was working late so we all ate and it was YUMMY!!

Darin got home around 7pm.  Earlier he said that his co-worker had mentioned the likelihood that the vitamins we give the kids have lead in them.  I looked up Lil' Critters Gummy Vites and found an article that mentioned they were tested and do have lead in them!  A&J won't be getting them anymore!

A&J go to bed pretty good now.  They both took a bath, no stories tonight though.  I was beat.  I need to start going to bed earlier.  I haven't even been doing crocheting this week or doing my Bible Study with the ROYAL...

It is 11:11 and I might go try to read some in bed.  I believe Darin might still be on the computer in our bedroom.  If not, I will go to bed. :)

09-28-10

Jake woke up about 5am - Darin got up and found that he had wet himself (even though I had taken him to the bathroom when I went to bed last night around 11:15.)  D got in the bath with him then he came to bed with us.  He was awake a while then fell asleep finally.  Alexa was still sleeping and I had to wake her up to get dressed and eat.  Soon before she was ready to leave she went into our room and then, all of a sudden, Jake was awake.

I took the back roads to work after dropping J off today.  I got there about 10 min earlier than taking the freeway yesterday!  I had a pretty good day.  I hate it when I get short with people.  I got short with Cindy and apologized.  I had a Supervisors mtg - soon we won't be able to wear open toe shoes anymore.   

I was informed I have access to Citrix at home.  I was able to get online tonight but had to register and was informed I would have to wait about 6 hrs before trying to log on. 

When I got home Dad & I started making baked tofu and then since it wasn't making very much he suggested making panninis - YUM!  Both turned out pretty good (Linda didn't like the tofu - the kids didn't eat it either).  Darin really liked it and I thought it was ok.

I am trying to teach the kids John 3:16, "Jesus loves me", phone #, address, etc... :)  Alexa wanted to watch youtube song "Connected" from Barbie movie "Diamond Castle."  Jake wanted to watch something too so I gave him the option of "Who Let the Dogs Out" or "Peanut Butter-Jelly" and he chose the latter.  :)  It was the first time Dad had heard the song. 

I read and had the kids brush their teeth and go to bed.  Helped D make lunch for A.  D&I went to WalMart and got A a new backpack and sandwich tupperware container.  We got her a couple things for her b-day too.  D&L were watching a few things on tv and time just slips away!  It is 11:30 already!  I didn't even do any Bible reading today.  :(   Night!

Alexa and Jake are so smart!  They are quick learners.  I was trying to teach J new verses this am and he was doing pretty good but kept wanting to sing John 3:16 which was the most recent one he learned. 

Today was a super hot day.  We had A wear pants because of gym class (which I don't think they had because it was so hot) and we had her take an extra bottle of water with her.

She did really well minding today and even wanted Darin to ask the ladies there at SAY.  They confirmed that she did well minding.  Go Alexa!  That's my baby big girl!

Today at work was the first time we shut the blinds because it was hot!  We kept them closed all day and had the air conditioner on.  I kept wondering how J&A were fairing.  When I picked J up he was fine even though it was pretty hot even with fans on.  When A got home she said she was hot at school too.

D&L went out and bought sandwich makings.  It was yummy and it was nice not having to cook anything.  I left at 6:35, got gas and went to church but the Hands & Hearts ministry wasn't there.  Either I was too late or they called it off because of the heat.  I will have to try to start another hat on my own.

I watched Dancing with the Stars with D&L as well as did quite a bit of my Bible Study for my "Core Group".  The name just changed 2 Fridays ago from Home Fellowship...  I couldn't find my sheet from ROYAL.  It is 11pm now but I was thinking of looking it up.

Darin had a good day at work today - PRAISE GOD!  I pray it will continue!  Tomorrow he will have lunch with Jacque and Bob. :)

Lord, teach me how I can love and support my family more. :)

09-26-10

J woke up yelling something at 4am.  I went into his room and he said that he didn't like me, "You threw my bicycle in the water."  I let him know that I didn't do that but he was pretty adamant that I did.  I let him know that dreams seem very real (this is the first dream that I know of that he has had) but that his bike was in the garage - safe and next to my car.

I woke up this morning thinking of something I read recently about having reverance for the sanctuary.  I tried to make it a point to get out of the door by 8:15 with the kids dressed, me dressed nicely - including nice hair and some make-up on.  I was able to get the kids to eat and got us all ready by 8:15.  I actually got the kids to their classrooms and was in the sanctuary before any prayer or singing began!! (Right before...) :) 

I hadn't seen Cathy or Erin in so long and I gave them both a BIG hug before we sat down.  We started in Romans today. The Dangels had plans after church so I stayed and let the kids play back on the blacktop with some jump ropes.  We got home around 11 or so.  Boy was J excieted to see his bicycle.  He again told A how I had thrown it into the water.  (I had to explain dreams again...)  I told D about it and he thought it was classic - also glad the dream was that I had done it and not him...  :)  D&I watched the end of the men's v-ball and Jennings & Wong took the gold!!  (I haven't watched v-ball in forever!) That ended at noon and A wanted to watch Barbie and the Nutcracker.  I put it on for her, made us all some P&J sandwiches and laid down.  I got up around 1:40. 

At 2pm I took the kids on a "Color" walk to the park.  On our walk we were looking at anything/everything and stating what we saw that was red, purple, pink, orange, black, green, brown, blue, yellow, etc... :)  It was fun.  They had a good time playing.  We walked home and got back around 3:30 or 3:40.  I read quite a few books to the kids, made quesadillas and left around 4:30 to take the kids to Awana's.   They were having a hard time with electronics so they started singing late.  I stayed as Jake was clingy and the ladies were aleady trying to keep the kids entertained until the singing began. 

I got home around 5:30 and did my ROYAL Bible Study on line with Miles McPherson.  I finished around 6:45 when D left to go p/u the kids so I started cleaining the kids room.   I got it looking quite a bit better.  A & J brushed their teeth and I tucked them in.  A got a new SPARKS book that came with a CD so I let her listen to that in her room a while. 

D scooped us out some ice cream - YUM!  It is quite a warm night so I have a lot of fans on in the house.  I turned the one on in D&L's room as they should be home sometime tonight.  It is 8:43 now and they haven't gotten hm yet. 

09-25-10

Busy day as usual yesterday.  D took A to school  & I took J to Ms. Teresa's.  At work it was the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new bldg - Pt Care Pavilion.  Cindy, Christina and I all went and got a free pancake b-fast.  We were there from 8 to about 8:25 and they still hadn't cut the ribbon so we missed that part.
We had a CF team mtg in the afternoon so I took minutes.  Dad called me at work and said that he would make cinnamon rolls for me for tonight so I wouldn't have to stop somewhere to buy dessert.  Soooo awesome!  :)  I worked a little late but was able to get J and be home by 5 or 5:10.  Linda had made pork burgers for dinner - YUM!  I had 5 leftover boxed lunches but forgot to bring them home.  D & A got home right when we were ready to eat.  D's presentation went well. :) 

Right after dinner I helped clean up some then took the kids (and the cinnamon rolls Dad made) and we went to the Beaty's for Bible Study. :)  We were there till about 9:20 and all the rolls got eaten.

The kids went to bed pretty easily as they were pretty tired.  They have been going to bed better lately though.  It has been nice.  D&I stayd up to just past midnight...

This am we worked on the computer and ate bagels or cinnamon rolls before D, A, J&I headed to LJ Shores for clean-up day.  We helped clean up from about 9-9:35 and picked up 1/4 lb of trash.  We turned it in then let the kids play on the playground and then in the ocean.  We got home around 11am.  D&L had just spoke with Kim and will be driving to Santa Barbara today to surprise Jacob tonight.  He is doing a commercial tonight and is a tad nervous about it.  I hope it went well.

After lunch of refried beans and cheese quesadillas D&I were tired!  A & J wanted to both sleep in our room so I had them sleep apart from each other.  A kept waking me up and finally she got a spanking (1) and my anger was a little over the top.  She ended up falling asleep in her room.   I rested some more before getting up.  D&I were able to talk some about how to try to improve things at his work before A woke up.  She didn't apologize for her behavior even though I asked her to.  I think that tomorrow am I need to ask for an apology myself.  I did tonight - while she was sleeping... :)   For dinner D&A went & picked up Hins.  Everyone ate well.  We watched the 2nd half of Bedtime Stories and had popcorn.  The kids brushed their teeth and went to bed.

D&I had ice cream and watched the first 2 episodes of this season of Hell's Kitchen.  I took a bath and put some pics on Evernote.  Today is my 2nd month on so I have more memory now. :)  It is aleady 11:20 now.  There is more I wanted to do too!  While D&A were out. Jake & I had some jello and I was reading to him from the Bible - the 1st wk of the ROYAL study (from The Rock).  I would like to watch the 2nd part of that but it is a little too late now.  Hopefully tomorrow.

Back to work. :(  Darin dropped A off (I put my volunteer ppwk & TB copy in A's red folder).   I dropped of J and got into work around 7:50am.  What a busy day!  I am still waiting to get caught up.  It has been 1 wk since my mtg with Rachel and Stephanie Paul.   I was a bit bummed this am first thing though because I got a pissy call from Yoly.  She has been like that quite a bit lately.  Later I got another uppety call from Robert Cox about adding lines to the Research lines.  What is in our drinking water?!?!?

I got off work right at 4:30pm (even though that is right when Dr. Park came down to ask for help with his computer - Christine helped him- oh yeah, he is supposed to be on vacation still too!)  Anyway, I picked up Jake.  D&L had picked up A (whew what a relief!)  I swung by home and got A (she had to change as she was in one of her princess outfits).  I took them to Moonbeams where they made "Universe in a Bottle."  Darin came by then Theresa came with Niko (it was their first time - they came to watch A&J till we got back.) 

D&I went to Doyle to Parent night.  That went ok.  We were the first to leave though as I wanted to get back to the kids.  Theresa had them in her van watching a movie!  :) 

We brought the kids home and I read to them.  I have been singing John 3:16  to them a lot because A needs to know that in Awana's in order to get her vest and book. D&L had picked up Gianna and her friend from the ranch so they got home right as the kids were going to bed.  They were able to say their goodnights to GM & GP and they went to bed good.

D&L had brought home some ckn sandwiches which D&I shared Dad's and he had leftover goulosh.

It is already 10:32 and I need to do my Bible Study - doing my first wk of Miles McPherson's ROYAL. :)
